Is Camera Grid free?
Yes. The camera, the live score, the coaching and 16 composition guides are free, with no account. Camera Grid Pro adds 15 more guides, from Golden Spiral to S-Curve, for $9.99 a year or $19.99 once (US prices).
Does Camera Grid collect or send my data?
No. It has no account, no analytics and no network client. The scene is read on your iPhone with Apple’s on-device Vision, and your photos go to your Photos library and nowhere else.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone and iPad with iOS 26 or later. 48 MP and ProRAW need an iPhone whose camera supports them.
How does it pick a guide?
It reads the scene first: a person, objects on a table, a horizon, a corridor, a mirrored facade. Then Auto picks a guide made for that scene. A guide stays on screen for at least two seconds and changes only when the scene needs a different kind of guide, so it does not flicker while you frame.
Can I choose a guide myself?
Yes. Tap any guide in the strip above the shutter, or open the library and tap Use this guide. It stays until you tap it again or tap Auto. If the scene cannot support it, it shows no score rather than a made-up one. Pro guides can be held once Pro is unlocked.
What do the colours mean?
The ring around the shutter is your score. Yellow means close. Green means locked, and your iPhone taps. A white dashed shape is a proposal: part of a guide the camera could not measure, drawn for you to line up by eye.
Does it save to my Photos library?
Yes, every photo. Camera Grid asks only to add photos, and asks for full access only if you delete a photo from inside the app. On your iPhone it keeps the score and guide of each photo taken with a score on screen, with a smaller copy of the 30 most recent for its own viewer.
Does it shoot ProRAW, 48 MP and Live Photos?
Yes: HEIF or Apple ProRAW at 12, 24 or 48 MP, and Live Photos with sound when you turn them on. 48 MP comes from the main lens at 1×, and ProRAW needs an iPhone that supports it.
Does it work in landscape?
Yes. Turn the phone and the controls turn with it. Camera Grid reads the orientation from gravity, so landscape works even with Orientation Lock on.
Does it work with the front camera?
Yes, for selfies and portraits: a face close to the lens gets a portrait guide that can lock. Guides that only make sense from the back camera, like looking down on a table, are not drawn on the front camera.
How do I restore my purchase?
Open Settings → Camera Grid Pro in the app, or the Pro screen, and tap Restore Purchases, signed in with the Apple Account you bought Pro with.
Is Family Sharing included?
Yes, with both the yearly plan and Lifetime. You and up to five family members in your Family Sharing group get Pro at no extra cost.
